Patreon & Substack

Patreon is a monthly membership, where I post regular videos about my creative process. I like to think of my Patreon as a big open studio, where my Patreons can wander around, have a snoop in my sketchbook, have creative chats, watch me work, and hopefully gain insights into how to build a career as an illustrator. I hope it is an inspiring, relaxed and friendly place to hang out. Because I have a background in children's publishing, I bring that knowledge to the mix too, as well lots of creative content.

I make 3 or 4 videos or posts a month, which vary month to month, including:

  • Material Deep Dives

  • Behind the scenes/sneak peek

  • Sketchbook look through and chats

  • Unique to me: "Creative Ramble Chats"

  • Studio hangout videos

  • Process videos and time-lapses

  • Photoshop and InDesign tutorials and tips

  • Publishing chat, drawing on my experience working in Publishing for over 20 years.

  • As well as all of that, I do a weekly "Motivation Monday" zoom meet-up and as Patreons you get early access to prints, art sales and workshops

I share the same content across both channels, as I understad some of you don't want to be signed up to multiple platforms. So you can choose to join either my PATREON or my SUBSTACK. With Substack, you also get access to my newsletter and studio updates

Ella’s Patreon is the best investment I made in my art, and in myself last year. She is a brilliant, generous, and incredible artist, and the inspiration and materials shared through her patreon are inclusive and accessible whatever level you are. I’ve experimented more, had the courage to share more within the online community, and have received brilliant advice from Ella in person. Plus it’s AMAZING value - in summary; Ella’s brilliant and her Patreon will be the best gift you can give yourself this year.

I’m so glad I joined Ella on Patreon, as an illustrator I love to see how other creatives work. Ella provides both inspiration and motivation plus time geeking out over art supplies and textures. It’s like sharing a studio with a warm supportive talented friend.

I’m really benefiting from being a “patron” of Ella Beech via Patreon. She is a talented professional, and her work is glorious. But more importantly, she’s a great communicator- natural, inspiring, informed and encouraging. She puts out a lot of valuable tutorials, sketchbook tours and materials reviews as well as general and fun views into her life. Excellent value for all she provides. If you are an illustrator or creative person interested in improving your own drawing/sketching/painting I can’t recommend Ella highly enough.
