Looking Up
What happens at night, when the world has gone to bed? In this gentle and magical picture book, statues step down from their plinths and set off on a secret nighttime adventure. As they explore the moonlit city, young readers are reminded to look up—and to notice the quiet, hidden wonders that surround them every day.
With lyrical text and a playful gatefold surprise, This story encourages curiosity, imagination, and a sense of quiet discovery—inviting children to slow down, look closely, and reconnect with the wonder that can so easily be lost in today’s fast-paced world, reminding young readers that beauty, mystery, and meaning often lie in the overlooked corners of everyday life.
For children aged 5–7. Created during the MA in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art, 2021.
